Head To Toe Body Care Centre is a clinic for men and women — a clinic whose registered mark has stated that scope from the beginning. The procedures are clinical: laser therapy, skin needling, cosmetic injectables, feather-touch brow tattooing, Vichy-shower body treatments. The rooms are something else entirely.

The clinic occupies a period Brunswick building. What the photographs show is a practice run out of rooms with cast-iron fireplaces, polished floorboards, tall sash windows onto a courtyard, and a buttoned chesterfield in the waiting lounge. Anatomy charts sit at the treatment bed; a seven-head Vichy shower hangs over a carved timber table in the wet room. Clinical work, in rooms furnished like a house.
